“If I told you, I’d have to kill you” – Jahnome McEwan
Hi WF Family!
It’s been over a month since I have posted anything on this website. I have an explanation…
Since I moved to England in September 2018, I began writing a novel for personal therapeutic reasons. Fortunately but also unfortunately, that anger and sadness I had which inspired the plot and the writing in general subsided. What did not subside was the love for writing and the gift of storytelling that I had as a child but suppressed as I got older.
During that time, up to now, I have travelled around Europe and Africa absorbing information and inspiration – which has now created a completely brand new gripping plot, but with the same themes and loosely inspired situations from my own personal life. As a matter of fact, it was when I was sitting in The Café de Paris looking at the exotic cars and tourists passing by the Monte Carlo Casino with a champagne cocktail in my hand that I was inspired for the clear outline for this novel.
The process of writing a well thought-out novel is both tiresome and exciting (and never ending). What it has done for the past month is seclude me from nearly everything I had been doing prior. My only focuses as of right now are completing this novel, finding an appropriate literary agent, and finding the right publisher.
My intention for this novel goes far beyond its publishing. I am planning and working towards a film adaption as well. I will not be giving out any information to the public (aside from publishers and agents) about this novel due to copyright infringement. But expect something great and extraordinary. I am writing a novel that I would love to read, and hopefully there will be a film that I would love to see as well in the near future – something I would be honoured to share with the world.
Everything may go according to plan but it could fail as well. Big whoop.
I told myself that if I want to do something, I will do it to the best of my ability.
Also, I think it’s worth making significant use of my English degree!
What does that mean for WealthyFools.com?
All it means is that I will not be posting my usual content for the time being until I finish the manuscript. You may see some posts regarding my novel, but even that I am sceptical about. I don’t want to bite myself in the butt with the information I provide.
